Everyone has their price!

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
In this time and in our generation this question seems more timely than ever before.
Have any of us ever thought about it EVER?
What is our soul? and how is it that it belongs to me? unlike anything else that I 'own'.
How can I sell it? Where do I sell it? Who wants to buy it?
I had a look on ebay but I couldn't find anyone who was selling theirs, or anyone who was looking to buy one?
Well we hear it all the time that the world doesn't care, that we're all self-centered, self-absorbed and self-selfish!
But what else can we be?
Form the time we are born and begin to discover the big wide world, we are taught to believe, feel and accept that we are the centre of the local universe, of our own personal universe, be it our family, friends, community or country.
We are raised on the presumptuous assumption that the world owes us something and that we deserve to be treated as demi-Gods, as part of the global pantheistic epidemic which has been spawned by the child worship of parents who have raised a generation of latte' drinking, ebay shopping, ipod listening, Mercedes driving, sex and the city watching hominids.
